Three Artists Find Common Ground Through Nature in NATURAL PROGRESSIONS

Glen Echo, MD — Janet B. Waters, Nicole Fall, and Blake Conroy, three longtime friends and DMV-based artists, present NATURAL PROGRESSIONS, an exhibition exploring the ways nature informs abstraction, beauty, and the human condition. The show runs August 7–September 27, 2026 at Glen Echo Park’s Popcorn Gallery. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 12:00–6:00 PM.

NATURAL PROGRESSIONS brings together three distinct artistic approaches grounded in natural imagery. Janet B. Waters (Baltimore, MD) makes evocative abstract landscapes using watercolor, gouache, and acrylic, enhanced with wax pastels and ink. Nicole Fall (Washington, DC) is a sculptor working in clay, welded steel, and cast bronze to create surreal freestanding and wall-mounted forms. Blake Conroy (originally Aberdeen, MD) produces layered laser-cut paper images and hand-cut metal pieces that evoke delicate flowers and plant structures through light, shadow, and form.

Together their work highlights varied materials and methods while revealing a shared engagement with the natural world. Viewers will encounter complementary visions that each interrogate nature’s textures, patterns, and meanings.
