Best Medicine Rep Theater Company is 10 years old! To celebrate, they have 3 full productions in the works, all written by Artistic Director John Morogiello.

STONEWALL’S BUST, October 9 – 25, 2026 at The Writer’s Center (4508 Walsh Street, Bethesda): When a man lies about breaking a priceless statue in the private museum owned by his fiancee’s mother, it sets off an ever escalating series of lies involving ghosts, the Civil War, and an exorcism on live television. Directed by Evan Morogiello.

THE AFFLICTION, February 11 – 28, 2027 at The Gaithersburg Arts Barn (311 Kent Square Road, Gaithersburg): How far are you willing to go to improve your marriage? After 45 years of frustratingly comic, marital dysfunction, one woman has had enough! When Doris is diagnosed with a terrible, unnamed affliction, she refuses medical care until her husband Mickey changes his ways and begins to treat her better. Is saving a loved-one’s life worth the cost of cooking and cleaning? Directed by Stan Levin, starring Rebecca A. Herron.

GIANNI SCHICCHI, May 7 – 23, 2027 at The Writer’s Center (4508 Walsh Street, Bethesda): Greed!  Panic!  And the quest for redemption!  All come together in this farce adaptation of Puccini’s opera.  When it’s discovered that a wealthy man has left his money to the church, his family hires a local farmer to pretend to be the dead man and dictate a new will.  But who, in the end, will inherit the estate?
